THE CHASE

Thank you for checking out my portfolio of landscape photography, captured solely on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Australia. Over the past 7 years, my inspiration has had many highs and lows, but overall, the peninsula’s coastline has left an imprint on my mind, creating a series of heartfelt memories, and ultimately leaves me on a continuous chase for the next photograph. Like many other Landscape Photographers, the pursuit of special light, usually occurring at sunrise or sunset, is the main thing I hope to capture when I’m out there. That being said, I more recently have learnt to appreciate a variety of weather and tidal conditions, leading to a more diverse collection of imagery.

The combination of exploring a location, searching for interesting angles, finding balance and depth in a composition, and then practicing the art of post-processing (or “editing”) is something that I strive to improve with each image. Fundamentally, being at the right place at the right time is essential, and although I do regard this as an artform, I cannot take credit for the incredible scenery our mysterious universe provides, and I can only hope that the awe, excitement and artistic expression is communicated in this portfolio.
